I'm Giacomo Pistone, a photographer based in Amsterdam.
My work spans two distinct practices. In the studio, I focus on portraiture and product photography, including automotive, where control over light and composition allows for precise, refined images. This work leans editorial: clean, considered, and built to communicate.
Outside the studio, my approach shifts to documentary. Street scenes, landscapes and portraits made in the moment, where patience and observation replace direction. Here the goal is honesty, images that feel found rather than made.
What connects both is a consistent eye: strong composition, deliberate color, and a preference for photographs that hold attention without demanding it.
With a professional background in media and storytelling, I bring a strategic perspective to commissioned work, understanding not just how an image should look, but what it needs to say.
